to you on the brink of things [a handwritten exhortation.]

Today, another handwritten post, written to a past version of myself, perhaps. [Perhaps to a future one as well.]

Some of this is particular to, say, a graduating senior, but I hope you find something for yourself here, too.

I suspect this might go better for you if you click through each image.

  1. Love this, more than I have words to say. “Have the courage to incubate.” Oh, yes. That one I just keep circling around. So good, all of this. You are so brave, Antonia, in the best, most ordinary kind of way.

    • [incubate is such a weird word.]

Thanks for this, Annie. I think I tweeted that same night the irony of posting on that day: the day I write about courage is the same day I am filled with fear. Somehow, they go hand-in-hand.

  2. I keep trying to figure out what compliment I want to use. It’s been 3 days so I just give up. I don’t think I know what words can say how much I enjoyed this. I’m sure there are words for it. I’m just not a great thesaurus right now.
